BRONZE

  • All the core riding skills in one confidence-inspiring package.
  • The perfect preparation for the CBTA R licence assessment.
  • $20 for a full day (8hrs) of on-road coaching on a variety of roads.

This popular course is perfect for those with a motorcycle licence who have some experience riding, and now want some professional on-road training to gain more skills and confidence.

We highly recommend booking yourself on a Bronze course as preparation for the CBTA R licence assessment. It’s a great chance to have a CBTA trained assessor check over your riding, give you feedback and help ensure you’re riding at your confident best.

Bronze is also a good choice if you’re returning to riding after several years off, or for those who have never had professional rider training, to ensure you are getting the core skills right.

This course takes place on a mixture of urban streets and open roads, plus usually a paved off-road area to practice slow speed riding and emergency braking. Before attending, you’ll need to feel comfortable riding on main highways up to 100km/h and have a machine that can do so. If that’s not you, then book an Urban Commuter course, or some one on one coaching, to hone your skills and confidence first.

During this course our highly qualified instructors will help you focus on road positioning, selecting the right speed and gear, braking skills and smooth control, including smooth and safe U-turns.

You’ll need to provide your own bike and safety gear and have at least a learner motorcycle licence to attend this course.

SILVER

  • Intermediate skills taught in an approachable way.
  • Prepare for your CBTA F licence assessment or refresh your riding under expert guidance.
  • $50 for a full day (8hrs) that will take your skills to the next level.

The Silver course is an intermediate-level course with a focus on open-road riding and the ideal next step after a Bronze course. It reinforces topics covered in the Bronze and ups the game by bringing in key vision skills like vanishing points, reference points and visual flow through corners. Even if you are an experienced rider we recommend completing the Silver before the Gold course. It will give you the foundation you need to learn the skills taught on a Gold.

Covering a full day, the Silver will have lots of corners to hone your skills and plenty of roads with up to 100km/h speed limits. You’ll need to feel comfortable and confident riding at open-road speeds and have a machine capable of doing so.

You’ll learn the skills that together will make your cornering smooth and proficient, practicing how to open up your vision through bends and use bodyweight to improve stability. The course will test, and aim to improve, your ability to identify hazards and take appropriate action, introducing you to the principles of roadcraft.

The Ride Forever Silver course is also the perfect skills refresher for riders who have done a Bronze and are aiming to sit the CBTA F full licence assessment soon.

You’ll need to provide your own bike and safety gear, and have at least a restricted motorcycle licence to attend this course.
